WASHING

​

YFA garments and towels are to be washed in cold or warm water with mild laundry soap and only when it’s absolutely necessary; you’ll conserve water and minimize wear and tear. Non-toxic biodegradable soaps preferred.

HANG TO DRY

​

Hang to dry your clothing whenever possible and turn your garments inside out to reduce fading. Hang drying saves energy and reduces environmental impact.

FABRIC SOFTENERS

​

We recommend not adding fabric softener to your laundering process. Though it can increase softness, it achieves this by depositing waxy agents on the surface of the fabric which reduces the longevity of spandex. 

​

MICROFIBER POLLUTION

​

Putting your items into a filter bag before washing by hand or machine will significantly reduce the flow of microfibres into your drain and also helps to protect your garment during washing. Make sure you clean out your filter bags after many washes by wiping the fibers out with your finger and putting them in your trash bin.
